Is Your Bible Dusty?

For some strange reason, while I was in church today, this question popped into my head. I tried to ignore it, but it just kept coming back. Actually, I think its been in the back of my mind for quite some time and just decided to surface today and start nagging me. Isn't that what God does once in a while, when we don't take heed to what He says to the point where He has to start nagging just a little. I'll have to admit, I don't read my bible like I should and I try to justify this by reading all the christian literature and books I can get my hands on and that they are full of Scriptures and various quotes from the Bible, so that makes up for my lack of getting into The Word itself. So I think God is trying to convict me of this and is telling me to get that Bible down from the shelf, dust it off and get into the Word....so I'm going to do my best to comply and be better about reading my Bible.......Is your Bible dusty? I hope not! But, if it is maybe this will remind someone else to dust off their Bible.....I'll let you know how I'm doing in a couple weeks and if you don't hear from me on this matter--please remind me because this is very important to me and something that I want to correct--thanks in advance!!

Dog Update

I can't think of a solitary profound thing to post, so I'll just talk about how the dogs are doing. We've had Rusty Kramer about two weeks now and Josie just loves him dearly. However, we've come into a few problems. It seems Mr. Kramer had hookworms when we got him and when I suspected what was wrong with him, I took him back to the pound and they were kind enough to give him a three-day cure in powder form and two cans of moist dogfood to put it in and he has been faithful in taking the medicine. The only problem being, of course, I'm now worried that our sweet little Josie could have got infested with the worms too. This morning she was acting kind of punkie. Jose says she's just not a morning girl and she does like to sleep in. They were both out all day today and are wiped out on the couch as I type this. Why do dogs insist on occupying the couch---they Know they are not supposed to be there! Another small problem we are experiencing with Rusty is the fact that he will run like the wind when ever he gets a chance, and we've had to chase him down several times. He is getting somewhat better of late and minds Jose much better than me. I don't trust him tho and always take the leash with me when I go to get him from the fenced in yard. I'm looking at the two of them sleeping on my couch and I don't have the heart to run them off of it! They look so innocent...............It's getting late and I'm kinda tired myself so Goodnight!

Praise Him in the storm

Isn't it strange how God speaks to us and often we don't realise it until later. I was on my way to work this morning and heard a song on K-Love. I had heard it many times before, but today I listened more closely to the words and they really touched my heart. I'm sure many of you know of and have heard it . It's called Praise Him in the Storm. I'm drawing a blank on the artist at the moment. The song simply tells us that even when things aren't going the greatest in our lives we are to praise Him anyway. Very few, if any of us make it through this life without storms of some form or another and whether we realise it or not we all seem to think we can weather them alone and will try our best to do just that! But the truth of the matter is, we can't do it on our own and He will get us through the rough times if we'll just give up our stubborn nature and let Him! So when the storms come, button down the old hatch , pray and praise Him!

PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA!!!!!!!!!

It's monday morning and a gloomy one at that...where is the sun? It never fails, when I get a day off, the weather is lousy. But, I'm so glad to be off work today, the weather doesn't matter. My department got an order for over 400 pizzas last week that have to be made and frozen for a local middle school by this friday. Yesterday we made 50 of 70 large cheese pizzas and have about 375 to go . I made some friday. The single topping ones aren't too bad, but we have a lot of supreme, meatcravers, and taco left to do. We have to bag lettuce, tomatoes and chips for the taco ones.....when we get this order done we won't want to look at a pizza for a long time.!!!

Happy Easter everyone! He is risen! My prayer is that everyone could know the real meaning of this day and rejoice in it. I know that holidays can become something totally different than what they were first intended to celebrate. Easter bunny is nice and the egghunts are great for the kids and the chocolate eggs and bunnies are of course wonderful, but the real meaning of Easter is often lost in all of the trappings......kinda like Christmas and Santa. The real meaning is that we have a living Christ who loves us and died just for us so that we can live forever............and thats more awesome than any old rabbitt!.......!!!!!Sorry Easter Bunny, you're cute but you're just not the Real Thing.....................Jesus is!

New Dog---No name

We have a new dog whose adopted name at the pound was Mac n' Cheese. Now, what kind of a name is that for a dog? We are in a dilema because I don't like that name or the name Jose wants to tag on him {Rusty}!! So consequently, the poor guy has had about six different names----such as buddie, Roscoe, Kramer and the next door neighbor wants to call him Cheyene....I don't believe there is any Indian heritage here as he is of Dachshund descent and they come from Germany! So help me out here bloggers. We, Amber and I are going to try and find a similar dog to show what he looks like as we don't have a real picture of him yet.

hi everyone ! i joined blog world.............so let me hear from you all...just remember i'm new at this so be nice!!!!!!!!!!!!! ruthrap
