Is Your Bible Dusty?

For some strange reason, while I was in church today, this question popped into my head. I tried to ignore it, but it just kept coming back. Actually, I think its been in the back of my mind for quite some time and just decided to surface today and start nagging me. Isn't that what God does once in a while, when we don't take heed to what He says to the point where He has to start nagging just a little. I'll have to admit, I don't read my bible like I should and I try to justify this by reading all the christian literature and books I can get my hands on and that they are full of Scriptures and various quotes from the Bible, so that makes up for my lack of getting into The Word itself. So I think God is trying to convict me of this and is telling me to get that Bible down from the shelf, dust it off and get into the Word....so I'm going to do my best to comply and be better about reading my Bible.......Is your Bible dusty? I hope not! But, if it is maybe this will remind someone else to dust off their Bible.....I'll let you know how I'm doing in a couple weeks and if you don't hear from me on this matter--please remind me because this is very important to me and something that I want to correct--thanks in advance!!

The Message Bible is an easy reading version. It is more like reading a recently written book or having a conversation with someone.

Mine is at school and I have really been missing it.

This topic gets me thinking alot about how we should read our Bible more. Most people say that they read there Bible everyday, actually they dont. I read in a magazine that 84% of Americans dont read ther Bible everyday like they should. Yea, my Bible is sometimes dusty, but I know that I should read my bible everyday, not every sunday or when church activities are going on. No one should go through a day without reading Gods word. This is very important and we should understand that God comes first above everything. Everyone, everyday should have "God time." That means read your Bible, pray everyday and your faith will grow. No ones bible should be dusty!!!!!!!!! Ever. *Amber Smith*
