Blog Blahs..........
Yep, folks, that's what I think I'm sufferin' from.......you know how you get when you go to everybody's sites and there's hardly anything new and then you decide to check out the comments to see who's commented on whose sites, then you go reread all of your comments to see if anyone commented about them! Finally you're just plain sick of it all and abandon the computer for a while and go about your other business (if you have any) and then you get to thinkin', maybe somebody's posted recently or commented on yours and your're back in there, checkin' things out!
Then maybe you'll find a new site and read theirs. And what really bugs me is when I find a site I like and can't remember where it was and go thru everyone's links trying to find it, that's really exasperating!! Anyway, I think you all get the picture...........today was a funny kind of day, it was really cold out and first I really wasn't too thrilled about taking care of business this morning because it involved going to pick out paint for the outside of our house. I hate going to Lowes! It's a big store and I don't know where anything is. My brother offered to go with me and the man who was in the paint department was super helpful and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The worst part was the expense! Paint is not cheap! My son is doing the painting and the weather was too lousy today to start, so we just bummed around shopping the thrifties today. That wasn't too productive: I wound up with a hairdryer I didn't need, some shirts for Ashley, and the ugliest coffee mug you have ever seen! Oh, and a black purse that is just a little bigger than one I have almost exactly like it! We had fun though and guess what!? We took Kramer with us and he loved it! He was real good and I even let him ride to the grocery store with me later..........I think I have a new traveling companion!
Can you believe it may frost tonite? I'm not ready for that quite yet....the flowers are still really pretty and I have a rosebush that has lots of buds yet. Hopefully it won't be a serious frost.
The blog blahs are kickin' in again, so I'm gonna exit........stage left and turn this machine over to Jose for the evening! Have a good week and don't let the blog blahs get you down!!

Cold weather, that's one thing I don't miss on a daily basis! I'm lovin Arizona having grown up in Maine. Right about now, the weather is perfect.
Ruthrap, sometimes it helps to get away from the blog to clear your head. I can relate to your addiction. I don't post everyday or I would spend way too much time on it and ignore my family. I know my situation is way different than yours. I have an 8 year old to father.
So, I do this when Mrs. JimmyBob and my daughter are not available. Like after 9pm or something. Oh, I must confess that I have also dropped many comments during my work day in between tasks.
Have a great day and we'll see you around!
Hello Ruthrap,
Thanks so much for noticing and dropping in on my blog. Blog-blahs are an interesting concept, and I can quite imagine them to be part of a stage of development along the written road.
So far, so new to this medium, I'm still stumbling about trying to carve an identity and some favorite pathways!
Interesting, your words about preferring to steer apolotically - you're so right about the tendency for the discussion to become nearly explosive! I keep being shocked by the vitriol that comes my way when I say what I think ... and I can't resist weighing in with my attitudes about peace, justice and intense hope that wealth spread out to raise base lifestyles out of poverty.
Another note on your blog-blahs entry, indeed the weather's officially about Autumn as I write, isn't it? Where I am in Blacksburg VA, it's still incredibly temperate: we still leave the porch door open for our Aussie-shepherd-mix, Gracie so she can come and go as she pleases. We're real lazy-butts around here!
I've been getting a kick outta watching for the toads out front, with a gentle chill they're ever so much more frisky. Think of it, frisky toads - usually they just sit all kind of bulky and gawk at you like an old cow. They barely twitch when picked up and handled ... guess they're lazy-butts too, at nature.
Anyway, very good to get your response. I tried to delete one of your "two-fers" - more evidence of where I am on this new kick of launching and maintaining a blog.
By the way, I love your journal-like voice. You write as if speaking to your reader across the kitchen table. Nice.
Stay warm, eh?
- Andrea
